Montgomery sits on the west side of Lake Conroe, and much of the ground here falls toward a cove or toward Lake Creek. On a sloped lot, the grade decides the build. We shoot elevations first, then set the pool, spa, and deck so they sit level and shed water away from the house.
Away from the water, Woodforest and the newer sections south of town have flatter yards and an HOA to answer to. We build on both, and one crew handles the pool, spa, and outdoor kitchen and patio from design through startup.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the city or the county permit my Montgomery pool?
It depends on the address. Homes inside the City of Montgomery need a city pool and barrier permit. Most lake and acreage lots sit outside the limits in unincorporated Montgomery County, which has its own filing. We check which one your lot falls under and handle the paperwork.
My yard drops toward the water. Can a pool still go in?
Yes. We shoot the grades first and design around the drop. That can mean a raised spa wall on the low side, steps down to the deck, or a retaining wall to hold the pool level. Grading and drains then carry runoff around the pool instead of through it.
Does SJRA need to approve a pool on a Lake Conroe lot?
Not for a pool on your own land. SJRA licenses private structures on the lake, like docks, bulkheads, and boathouses, so anything that reaches past your property line onto the water needs its own license. We keep the pool and deck on the upland side and tell you early if a design gets close.
Will Bentwater, Walden, or Woodforest need to sign off?
Yes. Each one runs plans through its own architectural review before work starts, and April Sound does the same. In the gated communities we also set up crew and truck access at the front gate. We prepare each submittal to that community’s guidelines.
How much do Montgomery pools cost?
Our three recent Montgomery builds show the range. The Marshall pool, 40 by 20 feet with a sun shelf and raised spa, ran $90,000 to $95,000. The Kane pool with a raised spillover spa came in at $115,000 to $120,000, and the Duncan build with an integrated spa and a big patio at $145,000 to $150,000. Yours gets its own line-item quote.
How many weeks does a Montgomery pool build run?
The build itself runs 10 to 12 weeks after design approval and the permit. Lake lots that need retaining or extra grading, rain during the dig, and HOA turnaround can add time. You get the schedule before we start.
