You do, and in Cypress that part is actually simpler than in many suburbs. Since the area is unincorporated, there is no separate city permit to chase; everything goes through Harris County, and we manage the applications and inspections so you never have to call the county yourself.
How does Cypress's flooding and drainage affect my pool?
It shapes the build more than almost anything else. A lot of Cypress sits in the Cypress Creek drainage basin, and the flat ground means water has to be sent somewhere on purpose. We set the pool’s elevation, deck slope, and grading so runoff moves away from your foundation, and if your lot falls in a mapped flood zone, we build to those elevation rules from the first sketch.
